Sneak Preview:  CXOs Perspectives on Federal IT Reform

Here is a preview of GTRA’s Summer 2011 Research Brief, which focus entirely on how the Federal IT community views 25-Point Reform six-months after it was originally announced.

In a few weeks, GTRA will publish it’s Summer 2011 Research brief which will focus entirely on how the Federal IT community views 25-Point Reform six-months after it was originally announced. While we’re not ready to share the full details quite yet, the results are overwhelmingly optimistic and show that the majority of executives understand the necessity, feasibility and urgency behind IT reform.

Here is a preview of our main findings:

  1. Federal IT Reform was long overdue.
  2. The long-term benefits gained by IT Reform far outweigh the short-term challenges to implementation.
  3. The present climate of limited budgets will ultimately help agencies achieve the goals of IT Reform.
  4. Enterprise Architecture should be used as a strategic tool to support IT Reform.
  5. Sufficient case studies, expertise and technologies exist to dispel security concerns over moving to light technologies, shared services, and cloud computing.

Keep an eye-out for the full report, but in the meantime feel free to let me know what you think!
