The various IT reform initiatives underway in the government (most notably the 25-Point Federal IT Reform plan from Mr. Kundra) coupled with the current fiscal environment is forcing agencies to take full advantage of existing resources while simultaneously exploring new processes and strategies to deliver results. While some view this as a blessing in disguise and others as a near-impossible dilemma, virtually no one is arguing the necessity of these aggressive moved by OMB and the White House to control spending, increase ROI and ultimately transform IT into a strategic business asset.
