About Me:
Michael Schievelbein has over 25 years of experience in IT and hold several certifications including Project Management Professional, Certified Contractor Officer Representative, Certified Federal Enterprise Architect, and Certified Change & Configuration Auditor. Prior to his IT career, Michael served 12 years in the U.S. Navy as an avionic technician, aircrewman, crewchief, loadmaster and certified avionics & computer instructor, before being medically retired as a disabled veteran.
Michael has contributed to the strategic business plans and operational programs and projects at many companies and government agencies including projects at Computer Associates, Department of Energy, Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Minerals Management Service, Dell Computer, 3COM, IBM, AT&T and StorageTek. Departmental contributions include: DOI Data Advisory Council (DAC), Enterprise Architecture Working Group (EAWG), DOI Indian Trust Modernization Blueprint team and representing DOI as a speaker at the Government Technology Research Alliance Symposium (ArchitectureGov) on Project Management and Segmented Architecture.
Michael has taught at several universities and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Chapman University and an MBA in Technology Management.
