Intelligent Decisions to Host Third Annual Military Appreciation Night at Verizon Center

Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a premier global IT systems integrator, announced today that it will host Military Appreciation Night on Wednesday, April 18th, as the Wizards take on the Milwaukee Bucks at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. This is the third year in a row that ID has sponsored the event, which is designed to recognize the tremendous sacrifices that members of our armed forces, and their families, make on a daily basis. Tipoff for the game is at 7 p.m.

New Study Reveals National IT Security Challenges Mounting; Growing Sophistication of Cyber Attacks Pose Greatest Risk to U.S. Infrastructure

According to a new Clarus Research Group survey commissioned by Lumension, nearly three-quarters of federal IT decision-makers who work in national defense and security departments or agencies say the possibility is “high” for a cyber attack by a foreign nation in the next year. Additionally, a third of these respondents say they have already experienced such a cyber attack within the last year.

FTC & Interior Discuss Using EA to Optimize Your Technical Infrastructure

The application of Enterprise Architecture (EA) to IT modernization efforts is one of most important yet often overlooked ways in which agencies can optimize their technical infrastructure. This application of EA helps agencies reduce costs and resources spent on their networks, servers and end user computing equipment as well as improving the delivery of related services such as help desks. Applying EA to technical infrastructure optimization, however, presents some distinctly different challenges than the typical vertical analysis of a mission area that need to be examined.
