Cloud Computing is being hailed as key to modernizing the federal government IT infrastructure and creating cost efficiencies desperately needed for sustainability. The May 11, 2009 White House 2010 budget request talks about the benefits of Cloud Computing and asks agencies to put together pilot programs focusing on topics such as Software-as-a Service (SaaS), telework and mobile devices.
