GTRA.org – May 25th, 2011 – Washington, D.C. – Today GTRA announced the speaker and technology award winners for the Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA) May 2011 Council Meeting. Senior executives at the Government Technology Research Alliance’s semi-annual council meeting voted among their peers for cutting edge demonstrations, presentations and best in class government technology solutions.
Zyrion’s topic on consolidating existing IT infrastructures into mission critical clouds landed them the “Best Cloud Solution Award” with a landslide vote.

The other GTRA award winners include Charles Beard, CIO SAIC who was voted “Best of GTRA” by the government community for his opening keynote presentation discussing unique challenges in cyber security, leveraging the cloud, staying ahead of the technology cycle and what changes to IT governance were required to allow for a full refresh of enterprise IT while decreasing the annual IT spend and making the company’s IT infrastructure a beta site for its offerings.
Intelligent Decisions/BigFix was voted by boardroom attendees as the “Best Solution” for their discussion on Implementing a continuous monitoring CyberScope enterprise solution.
Centrify won the award for “Best ID Management Solution” for their presentation on securing cross-platform systems and applications.
eGlobalTech discussed effective data center consolidation planning, a topic landing them the “Best Enterprise Architecture Solution” award.
ExteNet Systems won the award for “Best Secure Mobility Solution” for their boardroom discussions about defined mobile voice and data networks.
SonicWALL won “Best Live Demonstration” for showing a solution enabling application intelligence in federal agencies.
